Our History

In 2009 community leader Talley Baratka (pictured above, center) was in search of a way to make a profound difference in the community. She knew she could not do it alone. Talley recognized the power of women giving together, so she engaged other  women from all walks of life, and Impact 100 Richmond was born. The connections and business acumen of our founders, along with our partnership with the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond, set the stage to bring Talley’s vision to life.

Today, Impact 100 Richmond still operates on the same principles that Talley and her fellow co-founders put in place. Since its inception, Impact 100 Richmond has awarded $1.4 million to 14 local nonprofits.
