As a volunteer-driven philanthropy group, we rely on our members to share their talents to move us forward. You decide the level of participation that’s right and meaningful for you.
The Leadership Team includes the Chair, Chair-Elect and Committee Chairs/Co-Chairs. Committee leaders are responsible for providing oversight and guidance to committee members and making decisions in the best interest of and on behalf of the membership. Responsibilities include active participation in monthly leadership meetings, committee meetings and Impact 100 Richmond events.
Committee Members are responsible for active participation on their committee as described below.
Prepare member newsletters, press releases, member recruitment materials and other marketing materials and communications. Share news and events on social media.
Direct all facets (program design and speakers, registration, catering, set up, clean up, and other logistical matters) of our three main events: Big Kick, Big Learn, and Big Give.
Review and evaluate nonprofit grant applications, attend group site visits and ultimately select which applicants will present as finalists to our membership at the Big Give. This committee is broken into Grants Review Committees.
Recruit new members and retain existing members. Help us provide an exceptional membership experience by organizing our New Member Orientation and other social/networking events.
